Hilde G. Pedersen (40) and her 16-year old daughter Ida captured the bronze medal in the sprint relay at the Norwegian championship last Friday.

Her daughters are an important reason why she has decided to continue her skiing carrier.

- My daughters are one of the reasons I have decided to continue at elite level. It’s very exciting to race with your own daughters, explains Hilde after Friday’s bronze medal in the sprint relay.

She and her 16-year old daughter Ida captured third place.

- We are very happy with the bronze. Our goal was top-six, but we managed bronze when Ida skied so well, says Hilde.

Ida’s twin-sister, Eli is also a good cross country ski racer and raced the Norwegian relay championship with her sister and mom in January. They placed fifth and are looking for more success next season.

- We are hoping for more Championship medals together. I have said that I will continue to race as long as I’m having fun, explains H.G.Pedersen with new inspiration after Friday’s medal
