Grevsagaard and Korthauer are FasterSkier Collegiate Skiers of the Year
 This category represented both the easiest and the more difficult choices for 2007/2008 Faster Skier Awards. Maria Grevsgaard dominated collegiate skiing in the US and was a no-brainer. On the men's side, however, Marius Korthauer wrapped up the award with a win and a second at the NCAA Championships, distancing himself from the other contenders. Collegiate Skier of the Year (women): Maria Grevsagaard (CZE). Maria, skiing for the University of Colorado, won seven of eight Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate NCAA races, finishing second in the one event she did not win. Maria went on to win both the 5km and 15km races at the NCAA National Championships in Bozeman, Montana. She also set the all-time career victory mark at CU with 17. Korthauer, racing for the University of Alaska Fairbanks, won the 20km classic race at the NCAA championships and finished second in the 10km freestyle. The German was the UAF Most Valuable Skier of the year and was the top overall finisher in six straight events at one point in the season. He was also the top collegiate finisher in both distance races at U.S. Nationals in January, taking fifth overall in the 10K freestyle and sixth in the 15K classic.
